Business Controller to Veolia Water Technologies

We are now looking for our new business controller to our techno business units, AnoxKaldnes and Hydrotech!

Job description

As Business Controller at Veolia Water Technologies you are responsible for delivering high-level accounting, managerial reporting and various financial analyses.

You support and acts as a partner to general manager, department managers and project managers.

As Business Controller you manage planning and preparations of the budgets and forecasts as well as the monthly and yearly financial reporting.

You do the follow up on the budgets both globally and per department and you know the variances.

You prepare material and participate in project reviews and financial meetings.

Among your main responsibilities and job tasks is also to handle materials and questions from auditors, to secure that our workflows is LEAN and to support the implementation of Veolia processes and usage of Veolia financial business systems.

In short, with your expertise you support and disseminate financial knowledge within the organisation.

You report to the CFO.


For this position we require a minimum of 3-5 years of experience from a similar role or perhaps you have experience from roles such as financial controller, financial manager or auditing manager.

We believe you hold a bachelor or masters’ degree in economics or have gained equivalent knowledge through experience. Your experience from a controller role or similar will be of importance for successfully grasping the role as business controller, and if you have experience working with economical tasks within a production company it is highly meritorious. Since we work in an international environment, it is an advantage if you have experience from this.

You have very good skills in English, both written and orally. Knowledge of several languages, including Swedish is an asset.

Since you will interact with different contact areas both within and outside the organisation, it is a requirement that you have excellent communication skills, and enjoys explaining and informing our economic status to stakeholders. You are self-driven, have the ability to be helpful when needed, and enjoys working in an environment with different cultures and knowledge levels regarding economics. You have good project management skills and knows the importance of reporting in time, you enjoy working towards deadlines and strive to improve and develop you work continuously. You enjoy working independently and you always meet deadlines.
